What should I do if I have an emergency?

Do you take insurance?

We do not accept insurance and require payment at the time of service.

We will provide each patient with a document called a superbill that you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement.

Many insurance plans will provide some reimbursement for services through out of network benefits. Medicare and Medicaid will not provide any reimbursement.
What is your cancellation/no show policy?

We require 48 hour notice for all cancellations to avoid any fees.

Late cancellations/No show fee is half of the scheduled appointment time.

Fees must be paid prior to rescheduling.

Three no show/late cancellations are subject to discharge from the practice.
What is your prescription refill policy?

It is our goal to respond to all refill requests once they are processed but due to the volume of these requests that may not always be possible. Please check with your pharmacy before making a second request through your patient portal.

Refill requests are only processed Monday-Thursday.

Refill requests made after 4pm may be addressed the following day.

Patients receiving a controlled substance medication must be seen every three months to continue to receive the prescription.
What is the process for medications that require prior authorizations?

If a pharmacy has notified you that you need prior authorization for a medication, please have them fax over the rejection claim with all of your insurance information as this information is not on file at Palmetto Psychiatry.

Be aware that once we have submitted the medication request to the insurance, it may take up to five business days for them to respond.

All prior authorizations are subject to a $10.00 fee.
Do you have a letter or form fee and how much notice is required?

There is a $25.00 letter/form fee.

We require 48 hours for all letter/form requests.
What is your phone call/communication policy?

It is our goal to respond to all communication within the same day, however, on some occasions it may be the next business day.

Dr. Rodgers is unable to respond to calls or messages while with clients.

For a quicker response time, please use the secure patient portal for all questions or concerns.

Weekend or after hour calls are subject to additional fees.
Are you accepting new patients?

We are currently accepting new patients upon referrals by therapists or another medical provider.
